Exhausted. I woke up to a crazy ass thunderstorm at 4:30 a.m. and was up until 6:30 a.m. or so watching the news, nursing P, and just listening to the thunder outside. Apparently there were a few tornados that touched down in the area so I'm thankful they missed us, but it's still supposed to be pretty bad all day. Hopefully we don't experience anything too crazy later...
Sad. As a military wife, you meet people all of the time. Some become friends, some become acquaintances, and some you'll never see again. And it seems that at all times, you will know someone deployed or who will be deploying. I just learned that one of soldiers Z worked with in Drum passed away and it hurts my heart for his family and everyone that knew him. War is an ugly thing and it just makes me so sad to hear of this loss. Please say a prayer for those deployed because even though you don't hear about it everyday, there is STILL a war going on and innocent men and women are STILL paying the ultimate sacrifice.
Peaceful. As I've mentioned before, certain people come in and out of our lives for a reason. Some friendships are meant to last and some are just meant to get you through certain points in your life, whether it be "firsts", hardships, experiences and more. I've had my fair share of relationships come and go, and at the end of the day, I know that the people I'm surrounded by now are the ones that are meant to be. I may not see or talk to them everyday but the ones that want to be here and vice versa, are. And the ones that have gone, I have tried to mend or at least make peace with and at the end of the day, that's all I can do.
Motivated. After gaining 48 pounds with Miss P, I've lost 33 pounds, leaving 15 to go. I haven't found time to make it to the gym but I need to start watching what I'm eating and try to squeeze exercise in here and there. I think I'm going to start Jillian's 30 Day Shred on the 1st... New month, new start...
The need to purge. As most of you know, I have a shopping problem. And although I will defend myself somewhat and say my sizes have fluctuated over the past year, I can admit I have WAY too many clothes. I seriously donate multiple garbage bags each year and I think it's about time to do that again. Instead of waiting to fit into the clothes that I did pre-pregnancy, I need to purge whatever doesn't fit me and start fresh.
Content. After months of being here and a lot of changes happening, I feel like things are finally starting to fall into place. We are starting to get more of a routine going and now that Paislee is almost 4 months (what?!) we can get out and explore a lot more. We have made a few friends here and there I know it will just take time to find that bond I miss so much from New York. And who knows, I may never find that here but I am just going with the flow for now.
So there's your dose of random for today. Thanks for sticking around and making your way through my jumbled thoughts. And now some questions for you...
Have you ever tried Shakeology or used AdvoCare religiously? Pros? Cons? Likes? Dislikes? Or something else you can recommend for a kickstart?
How do you start "spring cleaning"?
How do you repair friendships that have gone sour? Or do you?
