Wedding outfit - round 2A couple of months ago I blogged about my wedding outfit dilemma. Since then, I have bought a completely different dress, but am still in a dilemma! I picked up the above dress from River Island for a bargainous £45 (it then went into the sale for £25, doh!) and am so happy I went for it! It's not something I would usually go for, but Mel suggested I try it on and I'm so glad she did. I assumed the peplum would accentuate the area I most want to hide (stomach/hips) but it actually is so flattering! I also love the print - hopefully by the end of August we may have some sunshine, making it the perfect summer wedding dress. Anyway, my dilemma now is as above... color of accessories! After speaking to the ever-wise Anna about color schemes, she said that you should always match your shoes and handbag, but your hat/fascinator should be a different color. The two key colours I picked from the dress and cream and blue. Cream - I am verging towards this at the moment. Big question - suede or patent? I think suede; more classy. I would then go for a navy fascinator to break it up, like the one above. Blue - the above pictures are just for illustrative purposes. Ideally I would want navy suede peep toe heels, but I just can't find any! I also don't want mega high heels (the strappy pair above are too high!) which is making the search even harder! I also think it will be hard to match the shoes to the bag. Saying that, I am thinking maybe darker accessories will make the look more 'complete'? Not sure. I would match this with a cream headpiece. As you can see - I need your advice! What do you think? Have you seen any nice heels around? In terms of the perfect heel my requirements are: suede, peep toe with a high-ish heel, but not too high! I don't really want wedges as they tend to be raffia style (esp with cream heels) and would prefer something a tad smarter. Help!
