I Don’t Agree With President Buhari On State Police

The Senate Chief Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu has stated he's in help of state police.

In keeping with him, he disagrees with President Muhammadu Buhari on the matter.

Showing on Come up TV, the previous Governor of Abia State stated states needs to be allowed to have their very own police.

Just lately, Buhari had stated governors will use state police to witch-hunt and intimidate perceived critics and opponents.

Ruling out the problem of state police beneath his administration, Buhari had stated: "State police is not an option. Find out the relationship between local government and the governors."

Nonetheless, Kalu stated: "Even once I was governor, I've at all times believed that we must always have state police. I don't lend a hand because the president (Mr Buhari) on state police.

"I've always believed that if we have a bill or an act that can convince the Assembly with the constitution, why not."
