I came ready for the snow but alas, it was not to be. It’s pretty cold but not a flake in sight.
As disappointed as I am for myself, the hardest thing to comprehend is this a symptom of climate change. This is not normal for a city on the Baltic Sea, just a couple of hours from Russia. I feel lucky to have experienced the magic of snow in my life but saddened that my nieces and nephews may never know that joy of the first heavy snow fall, snowball fights and snowman building… it’s barely been cold enough for gloves and scarves this winter…
