Mercury Lounge played host to Swedish sensations, I Break Horses last week. The electronic trio was impressive, particularly after having to stop their first song following a speaker problem. Frontwoman Maria Lindén gave the sweetest of apologies in her gentle accent, only to receive loud cheers and endearing screams from the patrons. The group played many songs from their new album Chiaroscuro and took us back to Hearts for some tracks as well. Their dreamy music almost puts you in a trance. As this indie electronic scene continues to grow, you can expect I Break Horses to stay near the front. Be sure to get out and see them next time they’re in town!
