Swedish duo I Break Horses’ first single since their 2011 debut album Hearts, shows the band leaning less towards the 90s brit pop sound of their previous effort and more towards 80s saccharine synth pop. Like the VHS-style decayed album art the track is glamorous yet unstable while retro-fetishizing in every fashion. Not completely indulgent, it leads you on, playing your ears like a coy mistress as you soak in every bit of ear candy but are not completely submerged in its epicness.
