Human Life, from Conception to Birth

By Eowyn @DrEowyn

This is my response to the utterly heartless and soul-less staffer at that Bronx, NY abortion clinic who was captured on video “counseling” a woman to put a born-alive baby in a jar of toxic solution and just “flush” the little human person down the toilet. (See Trail Dust’s post, “Q. What if it pops out, like at home? A. Flush it!

Alexander Tsiaras, an image-maker and the author of the book, From Conception to Birth: A Life Unfolds, gave a talk at a recent TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) conference, in which he showed a spectacular video about fetal development.

The video graphically shows the process of the formation of a human being inside the womb, beginning with an egg being fertilized and ends with a baby’s actual birth, with explanations by Tsiaras about what is happening at each phase.

This is what Tsiaras said about what he discovered in researching for the book and video:

“The magic of the mechanisms inside each genetic structure saying exactly where that nerve cell should go– the complexity of these, the mathematical models of how these things are indeed done are beyond human comprehension. Even though I’m a mathematician, I look at this with a marvel of how did these instruction sets not make mistakes as they build what is us. It’s a mystery, it’s magic, it’s divinity.”

In the 40 years since the 1973 Roe v Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in the United States, there have been more than 1.72 billion abortionsworldwide, or an average of 43.25 million abortions each year.

Among the 17.52 billion are more than 54.5 million American babies who were murdered through abortion since 1973. That’s 19.5 million more than the total population of Canada.
