Huawei officially (and quietly) introduced the Huawei Honor tablet in Malaysia, that will is going to become available for pre-order as of today for RM. 599 (about $184). The tablet comes with an 8” screen, a metal-clad body, and 3G connectivity.
The Honor tablet features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 200 chipset, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, and 1GB of RAM. You get 16GB of built-in storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card slot. On its back is a 5-megapixel camera, and in the front VGA shooter. Like we’ve mentioned above, the tablet sports an 8” screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, and runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Emotion UI 1.6 on top.
The device is 7.9mm thick and weighs 360 grams, and gets its power from a 4,800mAh battery. The 3G connectivity comes with HSPA+, and not too long ago, IDC reported that tablets with 3G connectivity are extremely popular in Asia, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that it was unveiled in Malaysia.
The device should launch on October 16.
