In just 3 weeks, more than 10 million people have. I think that they have a lot to prove since Google Wave and Google Buzz flopped.
If you don’t know what it is or does yet, check out this short video about the 5 parts of Google+
I surveyed my marketing focused friends on Facebook and most of them are embracing it, but some are still trying to figure out what it is and how to use it.
The biggest benefit I see is the circles, however I bet Facebook is working on something to rival it right now. I’ve wondered why Facebook askes you what “category” of friend they want you to put your new friends in when you connect with them. I’ll be it will result in being the Facebook version of Google+ Circles. I’d love to be able to send messages just to my family. Or just to my blogger friends. Or just to my Toastmaster friends. You know what I mean. I think that is the advantage that Google+ has over Facebook right now.
Here’s what a few of them have said:
Yes, been playing around with it for a few weeks, I like how it easily & quickly intergrates with all my other Google stuff (gmail, picassa, google docs, etc) .. also like the circles feature a lot .. still too early to see if its a useful tool for tracking news & headlines (still use twitter, Google Reader for that) .. but bottom line, looks like an emerging useful tool .. not sure what it will replace yet .. and still need to bounce between it, Facebook, Twitter, etc .. to stay afloat …
Can you tell me more? I use G-mail now, but not sure i even know what GOOGLE + is. I feel so out of it!
Do we really have a choice? We are reviewing it and I’m sure we will ease into it soon.
Hi Chris, I am not sure what Google + is but I would be interested in learning more. I hope all is well with you.
If you are using it, what do you like about it?? Is there a benefit to marketing with a Google+ account? I’m still trying to figure out if it is a marketing tool that I will need.
