How We Created a Memorabilia for Our Daughter (and How You Can Do Too)

By Sangeetha

It is said that shifting one's home is a Herculean task! You know what's even more difficult? The unpacking, the settling down and the worse part - furnishings.

I went through all the above-mentioned phases during the shifting process of my home, quite recently.

The unpacking and settling down was done within 3-4 days. Then our darling daughter came up with a request - she wanted her room to be furnished in pink. Right from the laundry bag, the curtains to her bed linen - the demand was pink!

It was then that my brother and sister in law arrived. She wanted to give my daughter's room a unique personalized gift and came up with the idea of a curated photo frame.

At first, I was hesitant thinking about the number of trips we might have to take to the photocopy shops, internet cafes and studios. But I was more than shocked when the memorabilia was made within 2 days - all at the comfort of our home!

Wanted to share with you the method for making a unique memorabilia.

Personalized Photo Collage: Materials required:
  1. Photos of your choice
  2. Pink cardboard sheet
  3. Scissors
  4. Glue
  5. Black adhesive tape
  6. Photo frame (store bought)
Method:

Choose the photos you would love to feature in the creative.

We chose random photos of Anshika, right from her birth. The photos were then cut according to the shape required.

All the photos were glued onto the pink cardboard and left to dry.

The letters 'happy birthday' was also printed in black, cut and pasted at the bottom.

You can either give it for lamination or make into a photo frame with the readymade frames available and seal it with black tape.

Voila! A wonderful unique memorabilia for kiddo is ready!

A big thanks to my amazingly talented sister in law for gifting us with such a unique gift that is close to our heart. My daughter gleams with pride whenever people adore the unique photo frame.

There is another teeny weeny device whom I am thankful to - the world's smallest All-in-One inkjet printer - HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3775 All-In-One printer, which could snuggly fit into my arms.

But don't go by the tiny size - you can copy, print and scan with it, at the comfort of your home - literally coining the term #smallisthenewBIG

I am already in the process of making many more unique and personalized memorabilia for my living room and friends.
