When sneaker wedges first arrived a few years ago, I hated them. I have exceptionally small feet for my height and they made me look like I was walking around in baby’s first walking shoes. I decided they were not for me and wished for them to go away. Then they started coming around again, this time looking much different, and now I am digging them.
How to Wear Sneaker Wedges
I have put five looks together using sneaker wedges to give you some ideas for putting them in your own wardrobe.
Outfit #1
I styled this first look using this style from Mia a chambray shirt from Rails, a belted cardigan from Madewell and navy pants from Polo Ralph Lauren. I further finished the outfit with an A.P.C. bag in burgundy and colorblocked earrings.
Outfit #2
This gray pair from Dolce Vita creates a smart casual look when styled with a pair of dark denim jeans and plaid boyfriend blazer from Everlane that I layered over a basic gray t-shirt. I finished the look with a paisley scarf and mustard crossbody bag.
Outfit #3
In this casual, weekend look I styled this light gray style from Linea Paolo with a pair of utility joggers from Wit & Wisdom, a boxy button-down from Everlane, Brahmin backpack, Treasure & Bond printed scarf and stud earrings from Kendra Scott.
Outfit #4
I love the way these rust-colored sneaker wedges from Express add a punch to this rich outfit. I styled them with a pair of olive jeans from Jen7 and a beige sweater from Anine Bing. I finished the look with a taupe backpack and faceted resin earrings from Halogen.
Outfit #5
Not all sneaker wedges are high top styles. This pair from Aquatalia is a slip-on wedge and more refined looking. I styled these sneaker wedges with a pair of skinny jeans from Good American and knitted layered pullover from Brochu Walker. I finished the look with a cognac Furla bag and gold mixed chain necklace.
