How to Wear Embroidered Jeans

By Styleofsam @styleofsam

Happy Monday and Happy Spring! Today, I'm tackling the embroidered jeans trend with these gorgeous floral girlfriend jeans. When that trend report came out, I thought, "NO WAY"! It was kind of cute, but not really my thing. I even contemplated the "word/symbol" embroidery. Then I saw this pair from WHBM, and I thought, "Maybe?!"

The embroidery is tasteful and the minimal distressing adds a cool factor. Plus, I always wanted to try girlfriend jeans. My friend, Maci, asked me the difference between boyfriend and girlfriend jeans awhile back. I had to google it for her. According to Marie Claire, the girlfriend jeans are a more feminine version jeans with a higher and tighter fit on the hips and a tapered leg.

THE STYLE Rx: Embroidered jeans are a fun way to change up your denim game. Go with embroidery colors that you wear on a normal basis. (Pink is my favorite color, so this was a no brainer for me!) Wear it with a simple tee and sneakers for a sporty gal look! Or go girly (as I did) with an off the shoulder top and block heels!

Girlfriend jeans are now my new favorites! And I ordered them in the SHORT length to ensure I would ACTUALLY have a cropped jean for a shorty like me! Of course, I couldn't help but pair it with an off the shoulder bell sleeve top (really can't get enough off the shoulder lately).

The tweed jacket is great for modesty (no shoulders in church) and a dressier look. I was trying to pull the bell sleeves completely through for a fun flare sleeve effect (but didn't succeed). I needed to push up my jacket sleeves just one inch more.

Have you tried embroidered jeans? Will you?! Have to tell y'all I am COMPLETELY OBSESSED with these pair of tiger mom jeans! LOL! Not saying I'm a tiger mom, but I can wear the jeans right?! ;)

Wasn't the weather in Texas gorgeous this weekend?! One of my best friends and her family made a pit stop in Fort Worth before heading back to Houston from a Spring Break road trip! And Little M got a BIG BOY bed!! He is so in love with it, and wants to "lay down" a lot! That translates to playing in his new bed. It's so cute. It's a twin size bed and he is SO LITTLE in it that I can barely see him on the baby monitor. I can't believe how quickly time flies with little ones. As my friend told me, "Cherish every moment. The days are long but the years are short." She is so right. Have a beautiful week, friends!
