Google
So how do we add a sitemap? The best place to start is on the Google Webmaster page. You will need a Google account and to verify your site with Google, I am not not going to go into too much detail on how to do this, as Google with guide you through.
Step 1. The first thing that you need to do is go to the Google Webmaster site and click "Add a Site" button to submit your site to blogger.
You can either copy and paste or type the site URL of your blogspot.com blog, or if you have a self hosted blog add that address.
Step 2. You will need to verify your account to prove that you are the owner of the site. All you will need to do is copy and paste a meta code into the template of your blog. Make sure that you switch to the "HTML" version of the blog template.
Step 3. Go back to the Google Webmaster Tools and select "Sitemaps" from the sidebar, then click the "Submit a Sitemap" button.
Step 4. In the text box (beside the domain name), enter inatom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=50000 This will add the feed from your atom as your sitemap and use the first 50,000 pages on the file, the chances are that you will never have that many pages on file but lets play safe.Once you have added your site click the "Add General Web Sitemap" at the bottom. It may take a short while for Google to verify your sitemap, which you will be able to see from your dashboard or from the Sitemaps section with the Webmaster Tools.
