HOW TO STYLE NAVY AND BLACK - STYLE SWAP TUESDAYS ( Link up )

By Saumya Shiohare @myriadmusings1
Fashion is ever-evolving, making it nearly impossible and financially expensive to follow every fashion rule in the book. Some rules you should follow for your own sartorial good, but others are definitely meant to be broken, coz you don't even know who made these rules in the first place... so why follow them blindly??? How about we debunk the top five fashion myths today and call it a day !!
1) NO WHITE AFTER LABOR DAY- whoever coined this fashion rule definitely needs a timeout....lol! There is nothing more soothing and captivating than wearing white in fall and winter. A crisp white knit sweater, a white mink coat....ooooo, I am loving the idea of winter white. Instead of " no white after labor day " rule, the rule should be  " no white linen and no white cotton after labor day "! Whatsay?

2) YOUR BAG SHOULD MATCH YOUR SHOES - gone are those days when your bag and shoes had to match. This is the era of mixing and matching. So play around, have fun and wear bag and shoes that are coordinated but not match-matchy.

3) NAVY AND BLACK DON'T GO TOGETHER- whoever said so, was definitely color-blind and couldn't distinguish black from navy. Blue and navy paired together, have now become more popular sartorially. It is still a daring color-combination, but is my favorite and is undoubtedly a modern-combination that we all must try..... at least I did!

4) SEQUIN AND SPARKLES ARE FOR NIGHT ONLY- helloooo..... if you haven't worn daytime-sparkles, then you definitely need to right-away. One: cuz it is the holiday seasons and two: cuz there is nothing more fun and badass than wearing sparkles during the day. It is like a relief to sore-eyes, that normally would see either black or blue or brown during the day. Of course going overboard and looking like a disco ball is still off-limits, but a little here and a little there, hurt no one.

5) NO STOCKING OR SOCKS WITH OPEN-TOE SHOES- give me a break chicas !!! If you know me well, you might be aware of my obsession with socks and sandals. I have always felt encouraged to try out new trends and socks with open-toe sandals was definitely one of my favorite. Not only does it keep you warm but also elevates the style-quotient. So don't be shy, once you try this trend, you will go head-over-heels.....
