A baking soda solution: The advantage of this technique is that it is suitable for both silver and stainless steel cutlery.
To do this, boil two liters two and pour it into a basin. Add to it two tablespoons of salt, the same amount of baking soda and a tablespoon of citric acid. All these ingredients will need to be mixed until completely dissolved. Then, soak the utensils in the solution for 30 minutes. Gently rub your cutlery with a clean cloth. If they are very dirty, add 2 tablespoons of mustard powder to the mixture. The waiting time in this case will be 50 minutes.
To adopt this other trick, line the bottom and sides of a pan with aluminum foil. For 1 liter of water, add 50 grams of salt and baking soda. Fill the pot with the solution and soak the cutlery. Bring everything to a boil. . Then reduce the heat and leave to act. for 20 minutes. Turn off the heat and let the cutlery sit in the water until it cools. Then rub gently with a sponge, rinse and dry. Your cutlery will regain all its shine.
Toothpaste is the ally of cleanliness. But to clean your cutlery properly, you must use a toothpaste without whitening effect, so as not to damage the spoons and forks.
Apply this paste on a damp cloth and wipe each cutlery in a circular motion. You can also use an old toothbrush to shine your steel or silver parts. Then rinse and pat dry with a clean towel.

This acidic solution is used to brighten utensils that have darkened over time. To do this, place the cutlery in a mixture of one liter of water, 100 ml of white vinegar and a few drops of lemon juice. Bring this mixture to a boil. Turn off the heat and let the forks and spoons soak in the solution for 1 hour. Then wipe with a clean, dry cloth. They will be like new.
Over time, spoons and forks tend to darken and stain. However, this is not inevitable with these ingenious methods.
