How to Maintain a Healthy Heart

Heart is the organ that provides energy in the form of blood to every part of body to perform its function. This is why every individual has to take care of their heart, as an unhealthy heart can directly influence every other part of the body. Here are few things that can help you to have a healthy heart and to maintain it health throughout your life.

Be active

Be active mentally and physically both. You must do at the least physical exercise for 30 minutes. This much time is enough to have sweat out, which improves your blood flow and allow other toxins to move out of body effectively and provides you energy. Similarly the mental exercise like Pranayama and Meditation can help you to control your bodily functions and generates heat as a form of energy which can improves blood flow in complete body.

Quit smoking

This is the most important thing to do, to have a health heart. Lungs are the most important organ to pump the oxygen which carries the blood in the body. But the person who is smoking has affected lungs which hampers the oxygen flow and directly affects the flow of blood. So you must quit smoking.

Possession in the weight

The most important thing to control in order to control most of the physical diseases of body is your body weight. You must be on the positive side of the BMI scale in order to have a healthy life. If you have more weight than your normal weight, there is definite chance of cholesterol in your body, which hampers the flows of the blood, does increase the chance of heart disorders. This is why you must have your control on your weight.

Get rid of salt

Salt has the property of thicken your blood, which makes it difficult for blood to flow inside the body. This is why it is important to limit the usage of salt in your food, and to avoid the habit of using salt with the food, after the food is cooked and ready to get eat.

Get 5 per day

This is again the most basic habit that we individual have to follow, after eating. Every time after having your food, you must sit for at least 15-20 minutes and then you must have a 5 minute walk which helps you to consume your food properly.

Eating oily fish

Sometimes having a fish is the best thing to eat, as it has proteins. But eating oily fish all the time will slowly but gradually increase the chances of storage of cholesterol in your blood vessels which in turn cause the heart diseases.

Get rid of psychological distress through walking

Stress is now among on the top of every problem whether physical or mental. There are many methods introduce to get rid of the stress, one of the method is walking. When it comes to reduce the stress in order to maintain a healthy heart, walking is among the best option, as walking will allow the blood to flow in your body as it is one of the physical activity which increase oxygen consumption and pump moiré blood.

Reduction of saturated fat

Fat are sometimes good and sometimes bad. Saturated fat is the bad type of fat, which as the name suggest has the characteristic of saturate on the blood vessels and hampers the blood flow. Then in order to maintain a good flow of blood, you must reduce the intake of saturated fat and food products have high quantity of saturated fat.

Reduce drinking alcohol

Alcohol when consuming in the recommended quantity showed in many studies proved useful and benefited. But regular and excess consumption of alcohol will increase the chance of disorders, in which one of the disorders is related to heart disorders.

Read the label which is on the cans and bags of food

Now a day everyone is very fond of processed foods. You must read the contents mentioned on the label of the bags of food and cans and make sure the foods don’t have excess amount of ingredient which is harmful for you and can cause heart disorder or if you have heart disorder than to make sure that the ingredients don’t cause any allergic reactions.
