How to Grow Your Hair

By Lucylovesblog @lucylovesblog
Well this post is going to be slightly different to my normal type of post, because i'm going to post what i'm going to do from now on to help my hair get healthier and hopefully grow a bit more, but I want you to write on my post and tell me your favorite tips on how to have long, healthy hair!
My reason for this sudden change is because I have just dyed my hair, it's pretty subtle if i'm honest, if you look at my american apparel disco pants post, you'll see the color it's just darker than before. And i'm ditching my extentions now i've finally found a color I like and am going to try sososo hard to stick to this!!
Step 1 - No Heat!!
To be honest, I don't use that much heat on my hair anyway, the occassional blow-dry but I don't usually do much to my hair unless i'm going out, out like town or for dinner or something, because most of the time I'll wash my hair, brush it and let it dry and it'll look alright!
Step 2 - Use Treatments
If you look in my blog archive you'll see I did a post on my Tresseme (sp?) Split End Serum which I do think is a amazing, but when I mean treatments I mean deep nourshing, maybe pricey, leave in conditioners and hair masks, not just cream to run through my hair!
I've got some hair oil which I got in a glossy box which I am determined to use up by the end of this month!!
Step 3 - Get My Haircut More Often
Now I only think this applies if your going in for the long haul for these steps, so you can say get my hair cut twice a year or something., once every six months. But i'm planning this up untill christmas, because I don't think I could go a year without using heat on my hair!!
But it has been a while since I've had my hair cut, so i'm booked in for friday at 10am with my favy hairdresser ever and am going to get a trim!!
Step 4 - Stop Washing My Hair Daily
I wash my hair everyday or maybe once every 2 days for whatever reason, but i'm going to invest in plenty of batitesste dry shampoo and try and not wash it for 3 days in a row.
However, some people say using dry shampoo gets rid of the natural oils in your hair, which it may do, but I don't think it gets rid of them, this is just my opinion, but dry shampoo is just a mask its not deep into your hair you have to continue spraying it about 2-3 times a day anyway because it comes off and your hair looks greasy... and that grease, I beleive is your natural hair oils!
But either way, get rid of natural hair oils, or greasy hair for 2 days....hmmmm... duh!
Step 5 - BE PATIENT!!!
Patience is something I was not blessed with, but I'm gonna try really hard to keep this up, I mean i'm not expecting over night results but I can see myself in about a week or two thinking 'I give up!!' but hopefully, fingers crossed, this won't happen!!
I'd really appreciate it if people could leave their thoughts and ideas, or products and tips on this post because I am so determined! Can't wait to hear what you think!
Wish me luck!!! xx
