There are two ways you can attract customers from the search engines:

1. By using search engine optimization (SEO) so your site ranks well in the organic search engine results.
2. By using pay per click (PPC) search engine marketing, where you pay when some clicks in your ad.

Search Engine Optimization

You can get listed in the search engines for the keywords your market is already using to search for information in your niche. To do this, you need to:

1. Use a keyword tool to determine what words your market is already searching for (and which one you can rank well for).
2. Create content and pages around these keywords.
3. And then do “offsite optimization,” which means you get links from very specific types of websites.’

If you follow all three steps, then in a matter of a few weeks you can start pulling in plenty of highly targeted traffic.

And the best part? The content you create today can pull in traffic for years to come!

Pay Per Click Marketing

The second way to get traffic from the search engines is by using pay per click (PPC) marketing, like Google Adwords.

Instead of pouring all your time into ranking well and then spending weeks waiting to see the results, you can pour a couple hours into creating campaigns and see your results almost instantly!

To make PPC marketing work for you, you need to:

1. Choose targeted, focused keywords that indicate your searcher is a buyer.
2. Create a Compelling ad that gets clicks.
3. And create a high-converting landing page.
