Maintain proper wheel alignment. If your truck is not properly aligned the drag on your truck will increase, the tire will have a greater scrub against the road surface.
Do not overload. The heavier the truck the more fuel it consumes, therefore remove the unnecessary load on your tuck as much as possible. Every load that the tuck carries has an equivalent fuel it consumes.
Do not over speed. The most economical range of speed that the truck can run is 40 to 50 mph. Maintaining this speed will add up to the mile per gallon your truck can run with better fuel consumption. Also, sudden acceleration consumes more fuel than gradually accelerate coming from a stop.
Do not travel during traffic hours. If you stuck in the traffic your truck will consume more than while your truck run, therefore plans your trip avoid traveling if you know the hours the traffic builds up.
Avoid stop and go driving. When you drive avoid sudden stop and sudden acceleration, driving with stop and go habit consumes extra fuel than normal, also stop and go driving will affect the life of your tire it will reduce the life span of the tire.
Follow proper maintenance. Maintenance is the most important activity you never forget, follow the periodic maintenance schedule recommended by the truck manufacturer. The manufacturer set periodic maintenance to avoid the small problem from developing into a bigger problem. Most people view periodic maintenance as only changing oil but it’s not, periodic maintenance is not only changing oil but there are several check items that are set by the manufacturer to check to avoid the occurrence of a bigger problem in the future.
