How to Fly Fashionably

While attending college in South Carolina, I spent a good amount of time in the airport flying back and forth from school and my hometown in Lancaster, PA. And now that I am moving to California, I will defiantly be racking up miles for frequent flier points. Traveling to new places is one of my passions, but the process of getting to new destinations is another story. Throughout the years of traveling, I’ve come up with some easy tips to be able to travel comfortably and yet arrive in style.

Look cute but remember to be comfortable:

For me, the most important part of flying is to be comfortable. Instead of wearing yoga pants or sweatpants, I love wearing either a maxi skirt/dress, loose fit pants, or palazzo pants. This way you can still arrive in style, while being comfortable on the plane.

Keep skin hydrated:

While flying, I always get dehydrated and my skin often becomes dry. To avoid this, I make sure to drink plenty of water, and also moisturize my skin. My favorite is Aveeno Tinted Moisturizer, which hydrates my skin and also gives it a natural looking glow. I also use Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm for the same reason.

Remember TSA rules:

Remember when going through security you’ll have to take off your shoes and any jackets or sweaters your might have on. I once made the mistake of wearing boots with strap up laces. Not only did it take me forever to take the boots off and then on again, I had mismatching socks underneath. Needless to say, I got some interesting looks while going through security. Keep it simple with slip on and off shoes, like flats or zip up boots.

Use your luggage as a fashion accessory:

Last but not least, make sure your travel bag compliments your outfit. My favorite bag to travel with is a Longchamp tote. Not only is it convenient, its simplicity goes with everything and brings some sophistication to your outfit.
