- Physical symptoms-If you observe physical symptoms like headaches, stomachaches, fast heartbeats, anxiety in your child which increases frequently in some situations like exams, sport match, then stress could be the main reason.
- Behavioral change-Look out for any changes in the behavior of your teen. It includes eating less, waking up in the night, regularly showing worries, less confidence in the exam, less interest in things which they like most.
- Poor performance- Poor performance in exam is a common sign of stress. Most of the time, teens who usually get good grades, now get lesser grades under stress. This can be an alarm for you.
- Interaction with others-Sometimes children behave well at home, but they have unusual behavioral with others. Parents should contact teachers, trainers of sport activity to find out the cause of teen’s stress.Sometimes teens are not aware of term stress. Instead, they say that they are worried or confused to express their feelings. They say negative things about them like “I am not good”, “everybody hates me”. The parent should realize the exact feeling behind these negative words and find out if there is any stress.

- If you find your teen under stress, the best thing you can do is to encourage him to open up and find out the cause of stress.
- Tell your teen, that stress is a part of life and they can deal with it.
- Teach your teen valuable skills to cope up with stress. Some breathing techniques, relaxation methods as well physical activities are some ways to handle the stress.
- Teach your child to face the problem in life instead of running away from it.
- Video games, mobile, TV, movies and social media, also lead to stress. So ask your teen to limit the usage of it.
