How to Draw a Klee Style Portrait

Paul Klee felt that color played a very important role in modern art. Here’s a way to draw a portrait in his style.
1. Fold a sheet of paper in half twice to get the guidelines shown in my diagrams. Follow the steps to first make a drawing in pencil.
2. Trace all the lines with a black oil pastel. Press hard to make a heavy line.
3. Color in the face and background, taking care to go around the black pastel.
