How to Download an Entire Archive of All Your Tweets

Twitter recently rolled out a new feature, allowing its’ users to download all of their Twitter history and keep it safe on their hard drive. If you’re still wondering how to download your own personal archive, here’s how to get it.

Downloading all your tweets is simple. But, you have to send a request first. In order to do that, first go to your Twitter account and then to the Settings page. Now scroll down to the bottom of the page until you see the “Request your archive” button.  Click on it, and wait for an email with the download link for an  archive full of all your tweets.

My download was only 800-kb’s. I opened up the index file using Google Chrome and it showed a very detailed listing of my tweets, categorized by the year. I gotta say, it was fun to read some of my old tweets. I was way lamer back then.

This feature is slowly rolling out to all Twitter users. See if it’s already available for you .
