We all have it – Inner Junk. When we recognize it is there we can put our blinders on and live default lives or we can choose to explore and consider letting it go. Challenging what we carry within us, especially if we are aware of it impacting us in a negative way, can be very freeing.
Before you begin an inquiry process, I recommend taking time to center within yourself. Breathe into your heart and remember that you are a soul, a child of God. The things you will be exploring do not have power over you, even if it seems that way in daily life. The power to keep or discard them lies within your heart. Release any expectations and make a commitment to not force anything or judge what happens. You are simply inquiring and considering your options.
Questions to Support Your Inquiry Process:
- Do I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is absolutely true?
- What is the cost of holding onto this?
- How can I comfort the child within me who experienced this?
- What is the lesson I am meant to learn?
- Does this come from my heart or the voice of fear?
- Who would I be without this?
- What would be possible for my life if I let it go?
- What do I want for myself from this moment on?
- What am I willing to commit to?
I recommend free form writing after your inquiry to anchor your feelings and any commitments you made. You will most likely find that playing with this process can become easy, light, and something you look forward to.
