Tia & Tamera exemplify the delicate balance of juggling work and motherhood, marriage and family." I don't know about you, but this will be my second season watching the girls. I loved them growing up on Sister Sister and the fact that they balance work, motherhood, marriage, and family is right up my ally. It's refreshing to see how they do it as I find it very difficult to make time for everything as I add more "titles" to my plate. I am always first and foremost a stay-at-home mother to my 2 children and being a wife is a close second. About 6 months after our daughter was born our son was diagnosed with autism. 12 months later we saw a delay with our daughter and she is currently enrolled with Early Intervention with speech and developmental therapies.
Because I love a full plate myself and my sister-in-law filed for our LLC 2 years ago and now we have had our first website up and running for 1 year. This site is called Because I Shop Too Much and is a market place to buy, sell, and swap your clothing, shoes, and accessories. We then launched a sister site for kids clothing and accessories this past February called Because they Grow too Fast. On a normal day I am a mom, wife, chef (gluten free and low dairy), business owner, blogger (I have two of those by the way, this one which posts 6 days a week and a company blog called Sisters Marie that posts 5 days per week), and an individual who sells items on both BISTM & BTGTF. It's a lot. My plate is full. But I LOVE all parts of it and I'm not sure if I could or would want to give any of it up. Sure, some days I want to cry because my son has had a hard day or I just can seem to want to make food from scratch. This I would imagine is quite normal.
I try to take one day at a time (as cheesy as that sounds) and I make a LOT of lists. Plus I don't sit down during the day. Like ever (currently standing at my kitchen island typing this while my kids eat lunch).
I definitely have a type A personality, but it is also how I can do everything I do. I don't think I would know what to do with myself if I have tons of down time. ;)
I am very blessed though to be able to do all of this right now. I can't wait to see what the future brings! Do you try to "have it all"? Make sure you tune in tomorrow night to see the premier of Tia & Tamera on the Style Network!
