A few years ago, people had to go all the way into the city to visit a video store to rent a movie. People had to rush home in time to watch their favorite TV shows.Today, thanks to Netflix we can pick a movie, or a TV show episode with a couple of simple clicks and watch any movie at anytime without having to even leave the couch in our living room.

With some help from new devices such as ROKU, Tivo, Chromecast and even latest video game consoles, Netflix managed to escape from desktop computer and jumped to televisions in everyone’s living room. These days a lot of people even enjoy watching their collection of movies on-the-go using the Netflix app for smartphones and tablets. Now, take a look back and think for a moment how Netflix has affected the way you watch TV.

Netflix is already starting to take more drastic approach into improving its’ service. According to a Wired report, the streaming media service has made a deal with internet provider Comcast to bring a much faster and direct access to Netflix by offering to pay a fee in return to allow Netflix users to stream video at higher speeds. Future is digital, there is no cables, there’s no antennas, there’s no dish TVs, but Netflix will definitely be there.
