How It Used To Be

If this is the picture of America that you like, and want to return to, then keep voting Republican and you will see it. They have always opposed social programs (from help for the poor to Social Security and Medicare), unions, a decent minimum wage, and free public education -- the things that liberals created to make this a prosperous country with a growing middle class. They are the party of the rich -- and they dupe ordinary people into voting for them by feigning patriotism and religious fervor.
