How I Motivate Myself to Blog

By Berrycreamie @mhi1106
Admit it, blogging is no easy thing. We, bloggers, often have this I-want-to-blog-but-I-don’t-know-where-to-start moment. Even though we have lots of products to review and events to cover, we still do not know how, what and where to start out blog posts. You might think that it’s very easy, but in fact, it is not.
I have school classes four times a week and it’s really a miracle if I am able to do a three to five blog entries per week. So, how do I motivate myself to blog? Here they are.
1. Ignore the Internet! Yes, this is number one on my list. I have to unplug my internet connection in order to avoid distractions. Checking your Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube or any other social networking sites will ruin your train of thoughts. Honestly, even though I have lots of ideas to post on my blog when I started surfing the net, all of those ideas will be gone. It’s sad, but true. But then again, reading other’s blog motivates me to write at times.
2. Coffee A nice and hot coffee calms my whole body and so I always needed at least one cup while blogging. Coffee keeps me awake and aware of what I am writing. Though, some people prefer hot chocolate or milk instead of coffee, but I know that most people drink coffee while they write, and so am I. (Am I being redundant here? LOL)
3. Music Some bloggers want to be in a silent room while they write, but not me. I am not saying that I like to have really loud surroundings while writing; I want to listen to my favorite songs while I write it calms my mind. Listening to my favorite songs makes blogging fun to me. Silence is so not for me – except when I’m sad.
There, those are the things that motivate me to blog regularly. As a matter of fact, there are times when these three doesn’t work, and that is because I’m either watching movies or reading novels. =P
Oh.. There is one more thing. Whenever I finish reading a book/novel, I can’t help but write. And just so you know, I do the writings on MS Word first before publishing it on my blog. “Ignore the Internet” is number one after all.
The question now is.. How do YOU motivate yourself to blog? I would love to read your list. ^^ xoxo, M. Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to Facebook
