Verdict on How Dark They Prey

Encounter Nightly

Trent ‘UFO’ (Ronan) and cameraman Russ (Pallotta) are recording their latest investigation. The pair are searching for stories from Martha (Black) who believes she has had contact with evil. As the interview starts Martha’s husband returns and it becomes clear something more serious is going on around the home. This is a nice build-up but doesn’t get into the bigger picture of what is happening. 3/5

Harrowing

Private Lewis (Reilly) and Private Davis (Pygatt) find themselves trapped behind enemy lines, penned in with endless firing. They find themselves caught up with a German officer Bachem (Jobe) as they discover the truth about where they are. In what is an interesting twist on getting penned in. it shows the soldiers struggling to understand the patterns. 4/5

Blood Beach

Kevin (Schneider) finds himself on the outskirts of a lake, where he meets Leon (Lubbers). Leon is fishing and wants to help teach Kevin more about fishing. As the two discuss life, Kevin reveals what he is searching for as Leon offers to help him understand life and faith. This story tends to focus on wanting answers that you might not be prepared for. 3/5

Nelly

Officer Doles (Johnson) pulls over a speeding Janet (Spielmann). The pair find themselves attacked and tied up in a bloody basement. As the two search for a way out, they reveal bigger secrets from the world. one that sees them navigate a more twisted world than they imagined. This is a story that relies on the mystery of legends that have been passed down. It works well to keep us guessing as to what will happen next. 4/5
