Last weekend, Rich and I hopped in the car and made our way to The Brooklands Hotel in Weybridge, Surrey for a night of loveliness. We bought the stay on Groupon (making a 55% saving) just before Christmas to have as a little after-Christmas pick me up, and I'm so glad we did.
We had a gorgeous time; afternoon tea with prosecco shortly after we arrived, then using the spa facilities for a bit of relaxation. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant (steak, obvs) which was lovely... if a little overpriced! We headed back to the room after dinner and drinks and snuggled up in bed for some late-night film watching (21 Jump Street, very funny!) and jaffa cake eating. Breakfast was lovely - probably one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had. The cooked food was fresh and replaced/restocked every few minutes; having worked at hotel chain myself when I was younger, I know this is quite rare!
All in all we had a great time - it was lovely to go in between Christmas and New Years when there is that 'not sure what to do with myself' period. Have you booked a stay through Groupon before?
