[image source]The Zero cottage is an 1,150 fts free-standing extension composed of a workshop with living spaces set over it. The living space includes a two-bedroom flat, studio apartment and storefront space. Designed by David Baker and Partners, Zero Cottage presented an opportunity to explore advanced sustainable design, construction techniques, materials and technologies, with a goal of achieving Passive House and Net-Zero Energy certification - the first of its kind in San Francisco.
