“Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts; it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.”Anthony Bourdain

The above quote reflects how travel brings about a change in one’s life. While one cannot predict the learning and experience of a travel, one can surely try to make travel comfortable and five star properties do play an important part in making ones experience memorable and comfortable.
Delhi, being extremely popular on the world tourist map, has plethora of National and International five star properties. The Suryaa is one such brand which is holding its fort among the national and international chains. In the last three decades, this property has been delivering to its brand promise of ‘service so memorable’.
Keeping with the brand promise, with 244 rooms, the hotel has all the facilities like - fitness center, salon, spa, swimming pool, coffee shop, lounge bar, club, world cuisine restaurant, specialty restaurant, banquets, and a shopping arcade For any five star properties, food is a major cog in the wheel of revenues. As per latest reports almost one third of revenues of hotels are from F&B. The Suryaa houses two restaurants – Ssence and Sampan, a 24 hours coffee shop – French Crust, and a bar – The Atrium
Ssence is an all-day dining restaurant which serves the very best of global and local cuisines. It has become a destination for food lovers of Delhi-NCR. The 140 cover restaurant has small bar which serves delightful selection of beverages. The other interesting feature of this restaurant is Live Oven which churns out fresh breads.
The Teppanyaki Ice Cream station is a very popular spot among guests which serves sumptuous desserts. Spanish paella, galauti kebab,Nalli Nehari are some of the delicacies - you can’t miss here. Also their Sunday buffet is pretty famous buffet in town. Chef Sanjay bahal , one of the most accomplished chef I have ever met is the man behind the success of Ssence and SAMPAN. Chef Sanjay Bahl has a fine taste for continental, International and Mediterranean cuisine and has a flair for syncing classical favorites with the latest global trends.
Sampan is a roof-top Pan Asian specialty restaurant which has one of the most breath-taking views I have ever come across. Their versatile menu is a perfect blend of traditional and authentic flavors. They have excellent selections of Sushi and Shashmi long with some lip smacking pan Asian food. I would highly recommend trying their local sections where they have picked up the Chinese food from local market. They are really delicious, specially the sarojini nagar momos. The Suryaa is a perfect destination for a comfortable stay and for relishing some lip smacking food.
