Well, it would appear that Paloma Faith was able to shoot a music video for her latest single, "Black & Blue" after all. While I still maintain that the Eg White co-written isn't my first choice for the fifth Fall To Grace single, I'm just happy that she's still promoting the album even AFTER just completing a major UK tour, a heart-stopping performance at the BAFTA's and two BRIT nominations. Not only that, but Paloma just hopped on a plane to perform at this year's SXSW in Austin, TX. Girl's still got something left in her I tell you. Hardest workin' British songstress! In the just released new music video for "Black & Blue," Faith flexes her acting chops once again, playing a whole cast of characters (including a man!). The stunning black & white video was directed by Si Allen who was introduced to Faith by her longtime collaborator, Anthony Saul, who directed her "Never Tear Us Apart" video. Check out "Black & Blue" BELOW. The single was just released in the UK this week.
In addition to her performances at SXSW, Faith is set to play London's O2 on June 7th (her biggest gig to date!), plus a series of sold out Forestry Commission shows taking place at a variety of scenic wooding settings throughout England. Faith will also hit the stage at several popular British music festivals including the V Festival, Isle of Wight Festival and T in the Park. While no other U.S. dates have been confirmed just yet, I'm hoping she'll play at least another show in New York this Spring. In the meantime, U.S. fans of the flame haired British chanteuse can tune in this Thursday night (March 14/11 PM EST) where Paloma with be a guest on Bravo TV's late night gab fest, Watch What Happens Live! with cutie-patootie host Andy Cohen.
