Hora Douse – ‘Buried

Posted on the 12 October 2018 by Spectralnights

Ahead of a US tour and appearance at FEST, Hora Douse have unveiled new single ‘Buried’ (buy from Rose Coloured here). An emo punk song tinged with regret over past mistakes, it finds Tom Lee opening up about his thoughts and feelings. He tenderly sings about how he feels without the love of a significant other (repeats of ‘now I’m alone’) and how he tried to hide this feeling to the detriment of his own mental health: ‘I buried the truth’; ‘I’m always alone’. It’s at this point the Basement-style riffs come in and the math-inspired breakdown that follows recalls Far with its intricacy and emotion.
