In beautiful, sunny Queensland, where I live, today marks the start of the 2-week winter school holiday vacation.
“Brilliant” shout the all of the kids, “sighhhhhhhhh” moan many of the Mums. It really doesn’t need to be like that, though.
A while back, I posted 10 school holiday survival tips with some ideas for reliving the fun we all used to have during the school breaks of old. You know, when a trip to the movies didn’t cost a second mortgage and when stranger and danger were 2 unrelated words that coincidentally happened to rhyme. If you are wanting even more ideas though to reduce the stress of school holiday activity planning, I have stumbled across The School Holiday Directory – a site that makes tracking down vacation fun a cinch.
The School Holiday Directory connects school kids and their families with a range of kids activities and things to do over the school holidays. So get off the couch, turn off the TV, your school holiday ideas are here.
The site is easy to use and a search function allows you to browse activities by type or by location. It’s a handy little site well worth bookmarking and a great place to run to when you’ve exhausted your ideas and your patience!
School Holiday Directory is a resource to help find school holiday activities, school holiday dates, school holiday fun, school holiday ideas, kids activities, school holiday camps, sports camps, vacation care and lots more in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide, Perth, Cairns, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and all around Australia.
Disclosure: This is not a sponsored post and I have no arrangement with this company. I will, however, happily discuss any commercial arrangement with any person or business wishing to take my children for the holiday period
What’s the very best family holiday you have had? Do you like to plan your holidays, or just go with the flow to see what falls into place?
Happy school vacation to all!
