Honor 5C Coming to India on June 22nd

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has sent out invites for a launch event on June 22nd. The Chinese brand has also tweeted an image suggesting the launch of Honor 5C.

Although the invite doesn’t clearly state the name of the device and it just says “Come and witness the Genesis of Innovation as Honor accelerates into the next level of smart telephony.” However, Honor 5C runs on the same processor mentioned in the tweet.

Honor 5C was launched in China back in April, where the company had priced it at CNY 899 ($136 or Rs. 9,000) for the 3G model, and at CNY 999 ($150 or Rs. 10,250) for the 4G model. The company is expected to bring the 4G model to India at approximately Rs. 10,000/

Honor 5C is an all metal device that looks quite premium for its price and shows the effort Huawei has put in the design of the phone. It comes with a 5.2-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS LCD display and has 16GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

The Honor 5C also features a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash, 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, 3,000mAh battery, a fingerprint scanner placed below the rear camera.

Apart from 4G, the smartphone supports GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity options. The Honor 5C runs on Emotion UI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
