homemade khoya - how to make khoya/kova

homemade khoya recipe is in my todo list for years but i made a month back and it came out super good and made gulab jamun using it.That is my first ever khoya gulab jamun and it was super melt in mouth texture and really soft and juicy.

I will post that recipe in upcoming days and this recipe for homemade khoya is so different and i saw this recipe in a video from Bhavnas kitchen. But there she made it using microwave, here is used the same idea and made it in stove top.

As Diwali coming in ,here comes the recipe for the khoya which is the base for more sweet recipes. For this recipe, you will need just 250 ml milk and a cup of instant milk powder and 2 tablespoons of ghee to make this unsweetened khoya in home.Approximately it takes 30 minutes to give the final product and the final product is like halwa.Once you refrigerate it will firm and it would be like peda texture-neither soft nor hard. The first picture in this post taken the day itself and remaining pictures are taken the next day.
