Homemade Crispy Veggie Nuggets Recipe for Kids

This wholesome homemade crispy veggie nuggets recipe for kids, will steal the heart of every kid and adults in your family! Nuggets is a most favorite snack among kids, and trying it at home is safe and healthy for the developing tummies. It’s a vegan recipe which is suitable for toddlers to adults.

Homemade Crispy Veggie Nuggets Recipe for Kids

Ingredients:

  • Cabbage – 1 1/2 cup
  • Carrot – 1 cup
  • Beans – 1 cup
  • Corn flour – 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • Wheat flour – 1 tbsp
  • Whole wheat rusk crumbs
  • Tomato sauce – 1tbsp
  • Paprika – 1 tsp
  • Salt – as required

Method:

1. Add all the veggies in the blender and grind well.

2. In a large bowl, add the veggie mixture.

3. Add wheat rusk crumbs, ginger garlic paste, paprika, sauce, salt and mix well.

4. Add water in the corn flour and mix well to form a paste.

5. Roll the veggie dough on desired shapes.

6. Dip in the corn flour mixture.

7. Coat with whole wheat rusk crumbs.

8. Optional: freeze for half an hour before frying.

9. Shallow fry or deep fry until golden brown on both sides.

These crispy nuggets are a healthy evening snack, as it’s filled with the goodness of veggies. We have used cabbage, carrot and beans. Cabbage is rich in vitamin C and K, Carrots are loaded with beta carotene, antioxidants and fiber, Beans is protein and antioxidant rich. All these veggies are loaded with several other nutrients as well. This recipe is versatile. You can add the vegetables as per your preference. Homemade Crispy Veggie Nuggets Recipe is suitable for babies above 1 year. These yummy nuggets can be given as a back to school snack, evening snacks or as a lunch box recipe.
