All night long I went back and forth with the 12.12.12 concert and my shows. I have to admit, I took the multi-screen thing a bit far as I had the TV, the laptop, and the IPAD all going...my focus was way off so I'm not sure this edition of WWTM will be that great...I don't know if I even have complete thoughts...here's what I got:
- Bruce looked amazing and rocked the garden. Botox is his friend.
- Jon Bon Jovi seemed to be a bit off, not his best performance, but he is JBJ and I love him. He's gained some weight. Probably some stress eating, but his stylist should have packed some stuff in a bigger size. Botox is his friend too.
- Roger Waters looked and sounded good, sang all of my faves and doesn't seem to be using any Botox.
- I don't like Eddie Vedder or Pearl Jam, but he did kick butt on Comfortably Numb
- Caught up on Survivor during Adam Sandler, Kristen Stewart, Billy Crystal, interviews with celebrities taking pledges, Clapton & Chelsea Clinton (but did notice that her teeth really need some Crest White strips or something)
- Got back into it when my FBFF introduced The Rolling Stones
- Mick is just unbelievable. Seems he's refused Botox even though his friends have all embraced it, but he's got the body and the moves of a 30 year old not a guy turning 70. Unreal
- Observation...audience seemed bored and more obsessed with their smartphones and being on camera than on who was performing.
- Stephen Colbert always hilarious
- Puff Daddy, P Diddy, Sean Combs, and Olivia Wilde read the prompter beautifully
- I switched over to Barbara Walters for a little while during Alicia Keys and Steve Buscemi
- Came back for Roger and Pete and The Who. Looking good and sounding good too. Botox is Roger's friend not sure about Pete. They killed. Baba O'Reilly...my favorite all time Who song and then Love Reign O'er Me! Can't beat it. Roger's abs...impressive, a bit disconcerting with that scar, but I guess that's par for the course when you are a 68 year old rock star.
- Skipped Chris Rock and Kanye and then apparently fell asleep because I woke up at 3am to turn the TV, laptop and Ipad off. I guess I'll finish watching tonight.
Funny line #2...What did we learn from "A League of our Own"? Madonna's a terrible actress and so are you. The entire Gloria singing to the unborn baby thing had Dylan and I laughing out loud.
Sorta felt Ed O'Neill killed it in this episode. I know...not much...we were into The Who at that point.
How could Barbara Walters make the 10 Most Fascinating People seem so BOoooring??? HOW??? Love ya Barbara but I think it's time to hang this one up. It should be a rule that if you can't get a live interview the people can't be on the list. Hear that Prince Harry and General Petraeus?
Chris Christie-he's never boring, but I cringed when Barbara asked him why he's fat. I mean REALLY?
Gabby Douglas-nothing we haven't read before
Prince Harry - see above
Honey Boo Boo - sickens me that they even got on this list
EL James-was boring in every interview before and is still boring and shouldn't be on the list
Hillary Clinton-what Barbara Walters does best
Ben Aflleck-yummy but can't believe Barbara is still talking Good Will Hunting
General Petraeus-won most fascinating for the night but again...all Babs no Petraeus...he could have emailed in his interview. We know he's into email.
