Following the latest supernatural craze the Department of Homeland Security has released a witty public safety campaign warning American citizens of the impending “zombie apocalypse”. The handbook is designed to prepare people for actual threats, such as earthquakes and other natural disasters, pandemic, or terrorist attacks.
The idea behind the campaign is to engage interest from those that otherwise might not much pay attention to the importance of being prepared. By capitalizing on the brain-eating zombie fad the Department of Homeland Security have captured the interest they were looking for.
The tagline for the campaign reads: ‘If you’re ready for a zombie apocalypse, then you’re ready for any emergency.’ In the event of a walking dead epidemic the Department of Homeland Security suggest having an evacuation plan and stocking up on fresh water, extra medication, batteries, food, and a change of clothes. As long as you have your copy of “Preparedness 101: Zombie Pandemic”, in the event of flesh-eating, brain-devouring monsters roaming the streets, you’ll be just fine.
