Home Tour Design Inspiration

When I saw this beautiful home featured in Traditional Home, I immediately fell in love! It is shown in an article called “Art-Filled and Eco-Conscious Home”. The architect is William H. Harrison of Harrison Design Associates, and the interior designers are Bill Musso and Lauren Dott of the Musso Design Group. I am really drawn in by the neutral color scheme. I love the fact that furnishings and accessories were carefully chosen to be eco-conscious. Reading through the pages of Traditional Home, I learned that for this house the owners acquired museum-quality collections of Chinese tapestries, sculptures, and a set of red leather Louis Vuitton trunks traced Russian Czar Nicholas II and his wife, Alexandra.

The dining room showcases some of their collection of bronze and Asian pieces.

The yellow-striped banquette-like seating adds a ray of sunshine and contrast in this neutral colored breakfast room.

This is my favorite room by far! I love the chocolate-colored wall and the touches of red in the pillow and lampshade. A dream bedroom!

The mirror in the bedroom sitting area is a real statement piece. Gorgeous!

The homeowners, in keeping with their eco-friendly design concept, used low-VOC or zero-VOC paints throughout. After the painting was completed, the couple waited two weeks before allowing their children to sleep in their rooms to ensure any trace of toxins had dissipated. How impressive is that?

It’s such a beautiful home, don’t you think?
