I have a page for book lovers, especially if you have an extensive collection of books at your home. Books are our best friends, and they can guide, educate and make us smile. I like the idea of having a home library rather than finding them in various rooms. Scroll down, to see what I've picked for you here.
A home library should have these design elements - shelving to handle books, good lighting, and comfortable seating. This space should also be inviting and cozy enough to set the mood to relax. The room should also be at the right temperature, and humidity depending on the outside weather conditions. The shelves and the books should be dusted, and cleaned periodically otherwise; you would have to toss them out. I would not clutter this room with anything other than books to keep the primary function as clear as possible. And, do what it takes to make this reading nook so enjoyable that I forget everything else while I'm here!
Even though e-books and cd's are gaining popularity, it cannot replace the experience of holding a real book in hand. Do you feel the same way? And, aren't these rooms perfect to unwind and also learn at the same time? I'm looking forward to your comments!
