One of my favorite things to give is a gift. Especially if that book is thoughtfully chosen for the recipient. There's a book for every taste! Here are some of my favorite art/craft/design books that have come out recently. A number of them already sit on my shelves.
- 20 Ways to draw a Tulip
- Paper to Petal. It's not only informative but gorgeously styled and photographed.
- Matisse Cut Outs. I've always loved Matisse and loved loved LOVED the Matisse Cut Outs exhibition at the MOMA. This book captures his spirit.
- Fun With Washi. If you love easy crafts, try this book! (and you can win your own copy here!)
- The Wreath Recipe book.
- Pretty Packages.
- Mr. Finch. I'm a huge fan of Mr. Finch and recently bought his book. The things he makes are out of this world gorgeous and I love seeing his process.
- Made by Hand.
- Places to Go. Kate Spade's books are always a favorite.
- Little French Kitchen. I had the pleasure of meeting Rachel Khoo when she visited Copenhagen a few years ago. She's one ball of creative energy!
- The Plum Tree Monster. Lars contributor Michelle Christensen wrote and illustrated the most adorable children's picture book. It has a great twist to it!
- Cy Twombly. One of my favorite artists. I love his colors.
- When Art Meets Design.
- Vintage Tea Party. How to host the perfect party. I NEED these tips! And it's so beautifully illustrated.
- Elements of Style.
- Make and Give. The projects are adorable and the design of the book is impeccable.
