Holiday Dressing

By Saumya Shiohare @myriadmusings1

I love this time of the year AKA Christmas festivities, when there is something special in the air. The lights, the brights, the snow, crisp air and lots of shopping deals and steals of course, but above all the countless invitations to holiday parties. Well, with a preschooler in tow and no babysitter in row, there are only a few specially the family parties that I can make to. One such party was Kapil's office holiday party that welcomed  kids too.....JACPOT won.!!

I had bought  this pretty number online, an impulse buy with no intentions of wearing it to K's office party, but as the opportunity came along, I could not help but wear it  that evening. What an opportunist have I turned into... Anyways, I have always been on the fence about fitted sheath dresses, specially coz I fear they would highlight the lil paunch that I have, but I am glad I talked myself into buying this. It is one of those pieces that is pretty, feminine and polished at the same time and the peplum at the waist does all  the needful. It successfully hides the paunch and the nipped waist gives an hourglass shape. A dress well constructed, true to size ( for reference I am wearing a size 6) and perfect for day and night dressing. If you ever get delirious from the unlimited options out there, choose a  peplum style sheath. It's a classic silhouette and works at any age and on any body type......What say ? P.S- I am thankful to all my facebook/instagram  friends who approved of this dress and shoe combination.
