Historic National Road Yard Sale Cookbook
As if the Historic National Road Yard Sale couldn’t get any better–there’s a great cookbook to go with it.
I couldn’t wait to browse through this recipe packed book that I received in exchange for a truthful review. There’s a large Indiana section in here!
Historic National Road Yard Sale Cookbook Volume 4
From Baltimore, Maryland to St. Louis, Missouri, this is one amazingly long yard sale that runs from May 29 to June 2, 2013 along the Historic National Road!
From dawn to dusk, intrepid bargain hunters can look for that perfect treasure.
When the fun is all over? Turn to this lengthy cookbook that features recipes from folks all along the 842 miles that make up the Historic National Road!
Unique Indiana Cookbook…and Then Some
Hoosiers will appreciate the contribution folks made from towns like Cambridge City and Dublin and Lewisville. Pasta salads, cheese balls, gelatin salads, bean soup and many more are included in the Indiana section.
You probably won’t be surprised to know that there’s a recipe for Stuffed Morels, too. We Indiana folks do love our morels, don’t we!
Maryland features Goat Pie and Roasted Raccoon. Illinois has Brain Souffle. No, I’m not kidding. But don’t worry! There’s plenty more of your typical fare like Pretzel Crushed Vidalia Onion Mustard Chicken and Roasted Cognac Chicken in Baby Pumpkins, Pumpkin Bread and Baked Spaghetti.
There’s quite a few in here that I have on my “must make” list–there are almost 200 pages of recipes in here! And, no, raccoon didn’t make it on that list.
Annual Yard Sale Cookbook
To order a copy, you may find it along the Historic National Road at Old Storefront Antiques shop in Dublin, Indiana.
Otherwise, find ordering information below. What a fun gift for anyone that either enjoys cooking or who enjoys browsing the annual US 40 yard sale may relive the small towns and cities along the way!
