Higher Wages Myth

This is definitely a myth today. There was a time when everyone shared in increased productivity in this country, and it resulted in a healthy economy and a growing middle class. But then the Republicans instituted their "trickle-down" economics (which rewarded the rich by letting them hog all of productivity increases), and now we have a crippled and jobless economy which makes the rich even richer by taking from everyone else.
