Hermanus Country Market

By Crushland @crushland

It’s Saturday morning and the fridge is empty. We need breakfast.

We arrived at our weekend holiday house late the night before and didn’t stop at the PnP as planned, so off to the market we went in search of food. Over some picturesque hills and a few sleepy streets later we found the very quaint, interesting Hermanus Country Market. Not overpriced and touristy, and just enough quirk and whimsy. This is a place where locals (and tourists alike) come and spend the morning browsing the crafts and food stalls, settling down with a mug of coffee and the town’s beloved pancakes whilst being serenaded by Ben on his keyboard. Here are some photos.

Help yourself to milk and sugar

Chop off from the chest, and the thighs down, stitch, and add a macabre smiling face. Delightful : )
