Help Make Sass & Balderdash Profesh

By Katie Hoffman @katienotholmes

I’d like your help and potentially to be given access to that jar of coins you’ve been saying you’re going to take to the bank for the last twelve years.

If you’ve been here from the beginning, you already know that I started Sass & Balderdash in September 2012, and it’s been a one-woman show the entire time. I’m at a point in my life/career that I want to take my writing more seriously, because I think I’ve earned the right to do that. It may not seem like much, but I work on his blog and all the writing I do, and as I’m sure many of you fellow bloggers and artists know, it’s not always convenient.

To that end, I’ve been wanting to make this space more professional. But it’s already so great! Yeah, but it could be better, and I just don’t have the skills to do it or the time to learn, which means I have to pay someone else to do it. It turns out, professional web design is expensive, so I’m asking for your help and shaking an empty Starbucks cup in your face in the nicest way I know how.

I’m trying to raise $1250 to give this blog a makeover. I’m talking a Heidi Montag makeover. I’ve already found someone who’s going to redesign the logo, but the most expensive part of this ~rebranding~ is the web design piece. Look, I know you don’t have $1250 laying around. I don’t either, obviously. But if you have $1, $5, maybe $10, I would be so grateful. If it helps, you can imagine you’re buying me coffee. Anyone who donates anything is going to be listed on the acknowledgement page of the redesigned Sass & Balderdash. I’ll even name a wing after you.

I just need 250 people to buy me a metaphorical $5 coffee, and that’s also where you come in. I want you to share this link (http://igg.me/p/sass-balderdash/x/916) with everyone you’ve ever known (especially your rich friends). Share it obnoxiously, and help me feel like less of a panhandler.

Donate here.

And thank you for anything you can contribute, whether it’s a Twitter shout-out, one dollar, or a spirited, “Good luck, but I don’t know you like that.”
