My first big designer purchase was circa 7th grade. I remember the lobbying I had to do, easing my parents into allowing me to spend my Christmas cashish on something fabulous and amazing. In my case, it was a pair of Chanel sunglasses. I think both of them knew I would never give up and I knew what I wanted. And thus, I bought them. Actually, might I add, years later, as a freshman at SMU--I literally saw a woman sporting this very same pair. I knew I was making a good investment back then. Nailed it.
