Hello, Bronzing Beauty.

By Momfashionlifestyle @Fashnlifestyle

Yes Spring has sprung… and now Summer is right around the corner!  We all know that seasons change, and with that so must our wardrobe… however many forget to update their hair and skincare routine as well. You should always have a Summer and Winter skincare regimen, {Lighter in the Winter, and more of a tannish glow in the warmer months.}  With the change of seasons today I want to discuss the importance of bronzer in the Spring and Summer.

Yes, you may be one of the rare women who have perfectly healthy “Natural” skin, which requires no powder or foundation. Which would also mean you have a “Natural Glow” {like some women during pregnancy.}  I am not so lucky. I try to drink enough water {which in case you didn’t know, is 1/2 your body weight in ounces per day!}  And most days I fail this task, which means that I have dry skin, that is also hyper-pigmented, {thank you pregnancy hormones}. So I need foundation and/or mineral powder to help create even skin tone. Once you apply powder, you usually lose what little glow you may have had. Natural skin has depth, it shines, and radiates.

Skin covered in foundation just does’t do this, it was essentially, “Covered Up”, which is why the application of bronzer is so important. It is a vital necessity to your daily beauty regimen because it adds depth and creates the illusion of a “Natural Glow”.

When applying bronzer, apply with a large fluffy brush at the end of your makeup routine, to everywhere the sun naturally hits your face, horizontally across your cheeks, on the top of your nose, and across your forehead. Be aware of shades too Orange or applying too much.  You run the risk of looking too orange… {we don’t need anymore oomph loompas out there… unless of course you’re on the cast of Charlie and the Chocoate Factory!} Less is more in this case!

I personally like MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skinfinish. It comes is three shades: Soft and Gentle, Lightscapade, and Gold Deposit. It has a shimmery finish, and just adds that wow factor when completing your look.

We may not have J-Lo’s Glow…. but hey! We sure can fake it till we make it!

For help choosing the right shade head over to your local MAC counter, and I am sure one of their makeup experts will be more than happy to help.
